AN LUSHAN
Aged almost 18, An Lushan is the eldest son of Naha, founder of the Vaishravana trading business - one of the richest and most powerful trading families in the Western Empire.
Stocky and powerfully built like his father, he is slightly taller than Naha and is a Sogdian down to his fingertips: completely focused on the family business, he lives and breathes trade and everything that goes with the running of a large and successful commercial operation that does its business up and down the trading routes from Maracanda to Chang'an, the imperial capital, and back again.
An'an, as he is known by all, has little time for the old myths and legends that so fascinate his younger brother, but in the end he is drawn to them in a way he wouldn’t imagine possible...
